About Us

Painted Hawk was was built on a the belief; that every athlete deserves access to quality gear without paying premium prices.

Founded by Jake Halona a Highschool Coach, Painted Hawk was created to solve a problem he has seen every season; too many athletes are priced out of the equipment they need to compete. Gloves that cost $50–$70 have become the norm, leaving many players and families choosing between affordability and performance.

As a coach and former player, Jake understands what athletes actually need from their equipment: durability, grip, and reliability. Painted Hawk gloves are designed to deliver exactly that, dependable performance built for the grind of practice and competition.

The name Painted Hawk carries deeper meaning. Across many Native traditions, paint symbolized preparation, focus, and readiness before battle. It represented a mindset: discipline, courage, and commitment to the moment ahead. The hawk represents vision, awareness, and strength

Together, the name reflects the mentality athletes bring to the field: preparation, focus, and the willingness to compete.

Painted Hawk is built for players who work in the shadows of early morning workouts, long practices, and late night games. The athletes who outwork everyone else.

Our mission is simple: Make high-quality football gloves that are affordable, reliable, and built for the players who put in the work.

This is just the beginning.
